At Wright Choice Construction, every custom home and whole-home renovation we build across Smith Mountain Lake, the Roanoke Valley, and Central Virginia starts with our Comprehensive Cost Analysis (CCA). The CCA is the reason we can deliver premier craftsmanship, an accurate timeline, and a fixed price set before construction begins.
Our Comprehensive Cost Analysis plans your home in detail before construction begins, so you receive a fixed-price contract with no allowances. Your price changes only if you request a change, or in the few situations we spell out in writing before you sign.

The Four Phases of the CCA
Phase One
Discovery
This is the beginning of the CCA process. During discovery, we want to get to know you, your property and your needs. We don’t rush into designing. This time is invaluable to help us realize your dreams and create the best home possible for you and your family. Meet John Wright, our Chief Project Officer.
Your Client Advocate
From your first visit, a dedicated client advocate checks in with you, listens to your feedback, and helps make sure you feel informed and supported throughout the process.
Phase Two
Plan Design
Whether you prefer collaborating in person or communicating by email, we’ll tailor the design process to fit your style. Together, we’ll refine your floor plan and elevations, incorporating your feedback until every detail reflects your vision.
Once the initial design is complete, we’ll provide a preliminary price to help guide any adjustments needed to align with your budget. From there, we’ll finalize details, including the placement of lighting and electrical outlets, before you sign the finalization agreement and move into the selections phase.
On-Site Review
Our drafting team meets you on your property to review the proposed layout and identify any site conditions that could create construction challenges, before the plan is final.
Phase Three
Selections
Our expert interior designers work alongside you through every step of the selections process. Prioritizing making your ideas, inspirations, and goals into a reality. Through the selections process, we are able to help you create a home that best represents you

Don’t be afraid to make changes later. Selections are an ongoing conversation.
Phase Four
Contract
Once your design and selections are complete, we’ll deliver a comprehensive set of construction plans along with a detailed, fixed-price proposal you can move forward with confidence. At this point, your Comprehensive Cost Analysis is complete, and you’re ready to begin building your home.
Your Project Manager
Once you sign, a dedicated project manager is assigned to your home, pulls permits, and meets with you in person before excavation begins.
One Fixed Price, Set Before We Break Ground
Your contract is a fixed price with no allowances. The only things that can change it are changes you choose to make and a short list of conditions no builder can plan for: unexpected rock during excavation, a well that needs more than its defined scope, and extraordinary economic events. We walk you through each one before you sign.
